Baghdad Not Supporting UN Resolution on Oil for Food Programme - 1 April, 2003

Baghdad is not supporting the UN Security Council's Resolution on the Oil for Food Programme approved on March 28, Iraqi Ambassador Abbas Khalaf, said in an interview with RIA Novosti on Tuesday.

The Iraqi Government strongly opposes tackling issues without Iraq's participation.

"The UN Security Council should denounce the U.S. and British aggression against Iraq rather than legalise it," the ambassador stated, adding that Iraq had enough food for its population.
