9 Dead US Soldiers Found in Nasiriyah Hospital - 2 April, 2003

A US special forces unit specializing in freeing captured troops has discovered the bodies of nine coalition soldiers in the central hospital in Nasiriyah, according to a report by Arab TV station al-Arabia. Some sources suggest that all the soldiers were US troops captured during fierce fighting for Nasiriyah. There are no details as to how they died. The headquarters of the US-led coalition has partially confirmed the report, saying that the bodies will soon be transferred to Kuwait.

US and British land forces gave still not managed to establish full control over Nasiriyah.
