Two British Soldiers Killed Near Basra - 26 March, 2003

Two British soldiers have been killed by the American-British forces near Basra, reported the Sky-TV. According to this television channel, at the present time fierce battles are going on in that area between the American-British soldiers and the defenders of the city.

The killed soldiers served in the Desert Rats elite brigade and were members of the crew of a British tank, supposedly Challenger-2, which was taken by mistake for an Iraqi tank.

Two other members of the tank crew were gravely wounded.

The incident took place yesterday, but the report about it has appeared only today.
