Six Russian fishermen could not divide their catch and boats between themselves. In the end two of them shot four others, dropped their bodies in a forest hut and burnt it down. Investigators found only charred body parts and freshly caught fish nearby which had caused the conflict.
The crime happened in the Irkutsk region of Russia. Four men were brutally killed and burned in a winter hut. The men lived in a local town, but they spent almost all the time in their winter hut in the forest. They earned their living by fishing and selling their catches.
That day two villagers came to visit the fishermen . They went fishing and everything was as usual. However in the evening the men could not divide their catch and fishing boats and started fighting.
During the fight one of the visitors took the fishermen’s hunting rifle and killed all the four men. Afterwards they put the bodies in the hut and set it on fire. An hour later the hut burnt to the ground.
The criminals were sure that all evidence had been destroyed. They went home and said that they had not caught anything.
Fishermen’s charred bodies were found by a dealer who came to the fishermen’s hut to buy fish. It was clear that it was a murder: the bushes around were broken and there were stains of blood found on the ground.
The dealer reported to the police. The criminals were arrested the next day.
