Delaware State Police are investigating several recent robberies that targeted Russian students near Rehoboth Beach.
The first robbery occurred at 12:10 a.m., Aug. 15, when three black male suspects came up to a 19-year-old Russian student who was walking home through the parking lot of Sanibel Village. One of the robbers took out a handgun and demanded the student’s backpack and money. When they get what they wanted the suspects ran away.
Two Russian females, both 21, became the victims of the third robbery. This time the robbers didn’t threat their victims with a gun. One of them just shouted "Give me your money" and pulled the victims' backpacks off of them, and they ran away.
The police turned to the people who live in this resort town for help. They published “hot line” phone numbers for people to call the authorities and to share the information they possess.
Rehoboth Beach is a town situated on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. According to the US media sources about several thousands young Russians arrive at this town to work in the sphere of services.
