Little boy survives electric shock of 27,000 volts

Adventurous little boy decided to use a railway bridge as a spring-board

A very unusual state of emergency has recently occurred in the Russian city of Voronezh. The incident happened on a very hot Sunday day, when a lot of people left their homes and went to sunbathe on the beach of a local river. Underage boy, named as Vova Yefremov, was apparently tired of splashing around in the water of the river and decided to try something new. The boy wanted to jump into the river from a bridge. He chose the railway bridge across the river, just near the bridge.

Eyewitnesses say that the boy climbed on top of the railway bridge and started looking down into the river, as if he was trying to measure the distance to the water surface. A 19-year-old man noticed the boy on the top of the bridge and rushed to help the reckless “diver.”

”The guy hurried to the bridge to save the little boy, because there were high-voltage cables over there. When the guy was climbing up the bridge, he incidentally touched 27,000-voltage cables with his head. We heard an explosion and saw sparkles falling down,” an eyewitness said.

The electric discharge reached the little boy as well. The current killed the boy's saviour. Vova climbed down from the bridge himself, although he was burnt all over. Someone put the boy in the car and took him to a local hospital.
