It has come to the knowledge of the Russian special services that more than 80 suicide-bombers all of whom have been trained abroad could be send to Russia to commit acts of terror. FSB director Nikolai Patrushev has made the announcement in his Friday's address to Duma.
According to Patrushev, part of the terrorists has been exterminated; however, some of them still possess up to seven ID cards. Nowadays, states the FSB director, special services are conducting thorough screening to reveal the terrorists.
At the same time, he noted, such measures could be proven effective only after we establish a complex, well-organized system of security measures to fight terrorism.
“In the course of this year alone, FSB along with Russia's Ministry of Internal Affairs has prevented more than 200 terrorist acts,” mentioned Patrushev.
He also noted that the law-enforcement officials are doing their best; however, a complex work strategy is required to ensure total security and “unfortunately, we lack such strategy at the moment.” Patrushev also stated that terrorists should stand trial before professional judges not the jury.
