Russian Disneyland to be built in Moscow

A theme park, similar to the world-known Disneyland may appear in the Nagatinsky floodplain in Moscow. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin told reporters that "the city needs a theme park, full of attractions and sports facilities."

This year, it is planned to hold a competition for the project and attract investors.

The idea of the project was voiced last year too. In particular, Moscow officials discussed a possibility to build the Lotte World, which was developed by South Korea. Afterwards, it was said that the theme park would be devoted to the Russian folklore.
