PRAVDA.Ru Editorial Response to Bob Malarz

Thank you for the letter and for your interest to PRAVDA.Ru.You are right that our Russian and English versions are different. That is because interests of our readers are different as well. Some of the stories, that are extremely interesting for Russian people, are at the same time strange or incomprehensible for foreigners. And vice versa, stories, that are topical abroad, can be difficult to understand for Russian readers.

If you know Russian and want to check your comprehension, our English version has an option under every article showing which article in Russian is the original for the English translation. It is written: Read the original in Russian and URL of the article. If there is no link to the Russian version below the article, it means that article was written in English and we will translate it in Russian (if it is interesting inside Russia). In this case we will give a link to the original in English: Read the original in English.

Recently, we opened a Portugal version. It makes only first steps. But it is a separate project as well, which we will make as a Portugal branch ofPRAVDA.Ru, but not as Portugal mirror of our on-line newspaper.

We are grateful for your warm words.
