A participant in the attack on the Daghestan town of Kizlyar in winter of 1996, Yahya Kosumov, was detained on Friday in Chechnya's Gudermes district.
The terrorist was found in Gudermes in his place of residence during operative search operations, the Operative Headquarters on coordination of the antiterrorist operation in the North Caucasus have reported.
The detained 42-year-old citizen of Gudermes has been an active member of illegal band formations since 1994. In winter of 1996 he participated in the bandit attack on Kizlyar as a bomber among the members of Salman Raduyev's band formation.
