Terrorist from the federal wanted list arrested in Chechnya

In Chechnya as a result of operative and search measures a terrorist was arrested, who was a member of an unlawful armed group, born in 1974, and who has been on the federal wanted list since 1999 for the participation in a number of subversive and terrorist acts.

As it was disclosed to a RIA Novosti correspondent by the Regional operative headquarters, the terrorist resisted the arrest. However, there were no losses among the federal forces.

In the course of the preliminary interrogation the terrorist admitted his participation in a number of subversive and terrorist acts, the headquarters informed.

Investigative and operative measures are continuing.
