Akhmad Kadyrov, the head of the Chechen administration, will personally supervise the investigation into last night's assassination of policemen.
According to preliminary data, 7 policemen were killed, another 12 sustained wounds in the explosion of a KamAZ truck. The policemen were returning from a night mission. The tragedy took place in the Shali district centre in close vicinity to the House of Culture.
In the early hours of Tuesday, Kadyrov held an emergency briefing with the heads of republican law-enforcing agencies and Chairman of the Chechen government Stanislav Ilyasov.
According to the administration press service, Kadyrov has issued an order to set up a commission to investigate the tragedy. The commission will be headed by Taus Dzhabrailov, a deputy head of the administration.
The commission includes experts of force block structures and secret agencies who have already set out for the site.
