Another Base Of Militants Eliminated In Chechnya

As a result of a successful special operation carried out on Friday, army special operations forces of the Unified forces grouping in the North Caucasus eliminated a base of militants in the vicinity of the settlement of Agishty in the Vedeno region of Chechnya. According to a representative of the headquarters, in the course of the special operation up to 10 militants were killed. Practically all bandits who remained alive were captured. 12 Kalashnikov assault rifles, 1 mortar, 10 mines, 2 machine-guns, 1500 cartridges, 2 radio stations, up to 100 kg of foodstuffs were seized. Engineering units of the Unified forces grouping neutralized 34 explosive devices on the routes of federal forces movement. The representative of the Unified forces grouping reported that 19 people were detained on suspicion of being involved in preparation of sabotage and terrorist acts in Chechnya, 4.5 kg of explosives being seized from them.
