Terrorists attack police department and administration of Shatoi district in Chechnya

On Tuesday early morning a big group of terrorists attacked a district police department and the administration of the Shatoi district in Chechnya.

As it was disclosed to a RIA Novosti correspondent by head of the district administration Sachdasan Duzayev, masked terrorists blocked the building and ordered police officers to put down their weapon and surrender. Then a skirmish began, which lasted for 1.5-2 hours.

According to Duzayev, 15 police officers, who were surrounded in the building, combated the attack of the terrorists. Two officers were wounded. Among the terrorists one was killed and some were injured. By the morning the attackers gave up their positions and retreated in the direction of the Varanda village.
