A 16-year-old student stabbed his teacher Monday during class at an international school in the French city of Lyon.
The teacher was taken to the hospital in critical condition, but he is out of danger, the local school district said, reports AP.
The student ran away just after the attack at the Cite Scolaire Internationale, but he later called authorities, and police took him into custody. Details of the teenager's identity were not released.
The choice of the city of Helsinki is not incidental as the capital of Finland had hosted US-Soviet negotiations on the limitation of nuclear stockpiles in 1969
