Two members of Hattab's terrorist gang destroyed in Chechnya

Last Sunday, in the village of Ilyinskaya two members of the Hattab terrorist gang were killed when they showed resistance. As the regional operations headquarters reported, the law enforcement bodies received information that members of one of the gang of this leader had arrived in the Grozny rural district.

The policemen organised searches for them. In an attempt to arrest them, the bandits (27- and 26-year-olds) offered a fierce armed resistance. The policemen opened a return fire, which left the bandits killed.

In inspecting the place of the skirmish, weapons and ammunition were found - two home-made explosive devices, electric detonators, a radio station, bullet-proof vests, a set of camouflage uniform and two camouflage masks. One of the killed bandits had a passport, presumably written out in another person's name.
