Another Seven Caches With Arms Found In Chechnya

Chechen law-enforcers found on Monday seven caches with weapons and ammunition in different districts of the republic. According to representatives of the Russian Ministry of the Interior in the North Caucasus, seventeen kilogrammes of explosives and nine grenade launchers were found, alongside other things, in the caches. A police patrol was assaulted at the Chechen settlement of Urus-Martan on the same day. The policemen were trying to arrest a man who had a Kalashnikov assault rifle with him but he opened fire at them. The bandit was killed by return fire. Reportedly, he has been identified as a local resident and a member of a bandit formation.
