Suspect in subway terrorist act detained in Moscow

A person similar to the composite picture of the suspect in the terrorist act in the Moscow subway was detained in Moscow, said Kirill Mazurin, the head of the Moscow Main Department of Interior Affairs (GUVD) PR and Information Service said.

"Around 11:30 a.m. in the Northwestern administrative district, road patrolling service officers detained a VAZ-2109 car with a person similar to the suspected perpetrator," Mazurin said.

He said information on that man was received by police from vigilant city dwellers.

The source said the driver did not put up resistance when detained. There was a passenger in the car, too. Both were taken to a police station.
