Dangerous Terrorist Detained in Chechnya

In the Chechen city of Gudermes, the criminal investigation officers of the local interior affairs department (ROVD) have detained a dangerous terrorist involved in the murders of Chechen policemen. As officials of the Chechen Interior Ministry said Wednesday, 28-year-old local resident Radzha Aliyev offered armed resistance to the policemen during the detention. The criminal received several bullet wounds during the fight and was taken to the Gudermes district hospital. After medical assistance was provided to the detainee, he was taken to the temporary isolation ward.

None of the policemen was hurt.

According to the Interior Ministry's information, Aliyev was involved in a number of grave crimes committed in 2001.
