Moscow Outraged about Killing of Hostages in Colombia

The Russian Foreign Ministry has condemned the killing of hostages in Colombia.

"Moscow is outraged about the killing by members of illegal armed formations operating in Colombia of the persons they took hostages, including Governor of the Antioquia Department Guillermo Gaviria Correa and ex-Minister of Defence Gilberto Echeverri Mejia," reads the Russian Foreign Ministry press release.

"We denounce this brutal crime," the Foreign Ministry underlined. "We continue to urge all participants in the domestic Colombian conflict to strictly abide by human rights and norms of international humanitarian law," the Foreign Ministry concluded.
