Chechen journalist kidnapped in Grozny

A journalist with Chechnya's Gosteleradio state television and radio broadcasting company, has been kidnapped in the republic's capital of Grozny, the local interior ministry has told RIA Novosti.

Unknown gunmen broke into the house on Vyborgskaya street, 5, and forced 28-year-old Isa Abayev out threatening him with sub-machine guns, reported the ministry.

The journalist is being searched for. The question of opening a criminal case is being discussed.
