Mother in Finland arrested on suspicion of killing her 3 children

A mother has been arrested on suspicion of murdering her three children, police said Tuesday.

The 40-year-old woman was detained after police found her 8-year-old twin daughters and year-old son dead Monday in an apartment in the city of Espoo, near Helsinki, Detective Chief Inspector Jukka Kaski said.

"We suspect the mother of murdering the children," Kaski said, but declined to say how the children died.

The woman lived separately from the children's father. He has been interviewed by police, Kaski said.
