A civilian plane crashed Friday while practicing for an air show at Oceana Naval Air Station.
The plane went down about noon, and emergency personnel were on the scene, Oceana spokesman Troy Snead said.
He had no further details on the type of plane involved, the pilot's identity or the type of maneuvers the pilot was practicing.
The air show was still scheduled to begin later Friday evening, he said.
