Two Policemen Killed In Clash With Rebels In Chechnya

Police collided with Chechen rebels during a special operation in this republic. The operation was aimed at revealing individuals involved in bandit groups, a source in the consolidated division of federal forces in the North Caucasus reported to RBC. Two policemen were killed and five were wounded during the operation. Federal forces eliminated 12 rebels and detained 14. The source also reported that policemen found a grenade launcher, a machine-gun, five Kalashnikov guns, a pistol, a rifle, 17 grenades and an explosive device at the site of the operation.
