Police on Saturday discovered a cache in an Orthodox Christian cemetery in the Chechen capital of Grozny. The cache was found to contain a large amount of ammunition for small arms, a grenade launcher, more than 20 grenades, a videotaped record of terrorist acts, and some other guerrilla documents.
The identity of the cache's owners is being investigated.
The regional operational headquarters further disclosed that over the past 24 hours, 19 items of small arms, 9 grenade launchers, 3 machine guns and a large amount of ammunition, including 10 artillery shells and 18 landmines, have been found and seized in Chechnya. Also, over 83 kg of TNT has been found.
