At least 6 American paratroopers killed in the Afghan province of Paktika

At least 6 American paratroopers were killed on Friday in the Lera Marga region (the Afghan province of Paktika) when their automobile was attacked from ambush by still unidentified terrorists. According to the report of the NNI agency, special task forces were carrying out a usual patrol mission when on a sharp turn grenades were thrown into their automobile. The car caught fire as a result of which 6 American servicemen died.

According to local observers, in the eastern part of Afghanistan, in particular, in Paktika, Taliban and Al-Qaida militants re-grouped their forces and their small detachments were presently committing sabotage acts against the anti-terrorist coalition forces.
