Phoenix police have found two young children taken when armed gunmen burst into a home.
The children, a 2-year-old boy and an 11-month old girl, were dropped off at a house in south Phoenix after they were apparently kidnapped Tuesday morning. They were apparently unharmed.
Police say they don't think the mother of the children knew the suspects, who whisked the children away in a white sedan with dark tinted windows, The Associated Press reports.
According to CBCNews, police are still searching for the suspects. They are described as four black males. Police Sgt. Andy Hill said a witness heard the men yelling they were the police.
Police believe the children were taken away in a white Honda or Toyota with dark, tinted windows.
A white Silverado pickup with Cadillac emblems on it was also in the area parked in the alley near 27th Avenue and Indian School Road.
Police do not think the mother of the children knew the men.
Police believe the case may have initially been an attempted robbery.
Officers described first man as standing 5 feet 5 inches tall and heavyset, wearing a ballistic vest, blue denim shorts and a black baseball cap. The second man was wearing a dark green T-shirt and jeans, and the third was wearing a dark blue T-shirt.
Police did not have a description of the fourth kidnapper, though they said that all four men were black, KPHO Phoenix reports.
