The costs of military-and-technical aid Russia lends to Afghanistan's Northern Alliance amount to tens of millions of dollars, Russian President Vladimir Putin told chief correspondents of leading US media in the Kremlin on Saturday. He also stressed that Russia shared its "extremely valuable intelligence information" and was ready to join any effort to rescue "American citizens or American crews" in Afghanistan if necessary. "When it comes to search-and-rescue, we are ready to use our capacities on the Afghan territory," he said.
