A young man committed an act of self-immolation on the footpath between the Humpback Bridge over the Svisloch River and Planeta Hotel in the center of Minsk, the capital of Belarus.

The dead body was found by passers-by, who reported the incident to the police.

According to the preliminary version of the investigation, a young man, born in 1989, lived in the village of Tsnyanka, the Minsk district, and was temporarily unemployed. The reasons that pushed the man to such a decision remain unknown.
