Pontoons Will Not Be Installed Under Giant-4 With Kursk Attached On Friday

The pontoons will not be installed under the Giant-4 barge with the Kursk submarine attached, on Friday, stated Chief of the press service at the Russian Northern Fleet Vladimir Navrotsky. In his words, "the pumping in of the water was launched" at 8:00 a. m., Moscow time. Friday will be dedicated to the preparation for installation of the pontoons under the barge. The aforementioned procedure includes examination of main pumping systems and pipes of the pontoons. "We have to be 100% sure that there will be no malfunctions and that the system will be operating in a due course," stated official spokesman for the Mammoet company Larissa van Seumeren.
