Clouds of smoke are rising on the site. 250 firemen, 44 crews, are working in the area. Two seats of fire are observed: one of the plane's engines has fallen off. The plane was performing flight 587 from Boston to Santo Domingo /the Dominican Republic/. The catastrophe happened 15 kilometers away from the JFK airport at approximately 17:00, Moscow time /about 09:00, local time/. The American authorities have no information, so far, of an act of terrorism.
