Two militants wanted for committing terrorist acts were killed yesterday in the village of Pedakh, Ingushetia (a republic in Russia's Southern Federal District), the regional counter-terrorist staff in the North Caucasus said.

"The militants put up armed resistance and were killed by return fire," the staff said. Dzhamalai Abuyev, 26, and Aslan Gelikhanov, 30, were on a federal wanted list for a series of terrorist acts in the North Caucasus.
