Fire in military unit kills 2, injures 2

A fire in a military unit in the Far East killed two officers and injured two more, reported Nikolai Deryabin, chief of the press service of the Russian Defence Ministry.

"Two officers were killed and two injured while trying to put out the fire," he told RIA Novosti.

He said Colonel-General Vladimir Bulgakov, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Land Forces, and General of the Army Yury Yakubov, Far Eastern Military District Commander, had arrived on the spot to organize clean-up operations and investigate into the cause of the fire.

The fire flared up at 17:35 Moscow time on Wednesday, in the depositary containing self-propelled artillery mounts of a military unit stationed 80 kilometers southwest of Birobidzhan, Jewish Autonomous Area.

More than 5.8 million people voted for Nicholas Maduro at the presidential election in Venezuela. This is more than a quarter of registered voters. Why did those people vote for the man, who, as Western media write, took Venezuela to the brink of collapse?
