A lightning bolt struck three men seeking shelter from a storm under a tree in eastern Slovakia, instantly killing two and severely injuring the other, police said Wednesday.
The men were working in the woods when the storm started on Tuesday, said Jana Demjanovicova, police spokeswoman in the eastern Slovak city of Kosice. The injured man was hospitalized, she was quoted as saying by the AP.
The victims were not immediately identified.
