The Chechen government will start paying unemployment benefits on December 15, said Stanislav Ilyasov, the head of the government. According to Mr. Ilyasov, the registration process of the unemployed is ending in the republic. The unemployed will be receiving benefits in accordance with the effective Russian legislation. Mr. Ilyasov also said that all pension, child benefits, and wage arrears will be paid off by November 17. The republic continues to prepare for the winter. Sowing of winter crops is fully underway. Chechnya's vehicle fleet is growing. It is purchasing buses to provide for public transportation in the republic. Fiber optic communication lines will be installed in Grozny, the capital of Chechnya, by the end of November.
