A terrorist-bomber has been detained in the Chechen district center of Urus-Martan. Charges of commission of acts of terrorism and subversion have been brought against him. Investigation has found that on May 21, 2001, he planted an explosive device on a motorway outside Urus-Martan and detonated it during the passage of a federal troop column. Injuries were reported in the incident, and a few vehicles were damaged. Investigators are now examining the possibility of the man's complicity in other terrorist acts.
