Officers of the Chechen President's Security Service liquidated two militants, Abuyev and Nogamerzayev, in Grozny, the Chechen Interior Ministry told RIA Novosti on Wednesday.
"The special operation to detain the militants was held in Grozny's Staropromyslovsky district yesterday. The militants put up armed resistance in Neftyanaya street and were killed by return fire," said RIA Novosti's interlocutor.
According to him, one grenade launcher, a Kalashnikov assault rifle, three hand grenades and over 100 cartridges were confiscated. Investigation is underway.
