Death toll in Arkhangelsk apartment blast reaches 61

Rescue workers report that a total of 59 bodies have been uncovered from the rubble of an apartment building which exploded on March 16. Together with the two recent deaths reported in a local hospital, the number of deaths from the explosion reached 61. So far rescue workers say they have sorted through 95% of the rubble. This morning rescue work was halted because of fears that the walls of one of the apartment entryways might collapse. At present, workers are reinforcing the wall.
