Ninety-two forest fires are raging in the Russian Far East.
As the department of state control of the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources for the Far Eastern Federal District reported, the rain in the past few days has helped the fire protection services, firemen-parachutists and the local population to fully extinguish all forest fires in the Khabarovsk Territory, the Jewish Autonomous Region and on Sakhalin.
However, the fire-dangerous situation still exists in the Magadan region where 54 forest fires are now raging. Twenty-four forest fires have been registered also in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
According to the data of the department, on Monday twelve forest fires were registered in Kamchatka, one in the Maritime Territory and another one in the Chukotka Autonomous Area.
Since the beginning of the fire-dangerous period, pointed out the state control department, more than 3,000 forest fires have appeared in the territory of the Far Eastern Federal District. The total area covered by fire amounts to 941,000 hectares.
"We should use shock therapy to sober up the Americans. In this case, the Americans will speak about the need to resume dialogue. There is no other option"
