Arms-cache discovered in Chechnya

During a sweeping operation in Shatoiski district of Chechnya, Interior Ministry operatives seized weapons, ammunition and 17 kg of explosives.

According to sources in Chechnya's Interior Ministry, police officers and soldiers from the military commandant's office of the Shatoiski district discovered a cache of weapons, ammunition and explosives hidden in a forest.

The cache contained seventeen kilograms of TNT, six 122-mm artillery shells normally used to make field charges, an RPG-18 grenade launcher and eight F-1 hand grenades.
