Chechen President's son in grave state after car accident

Zelimkhan, the son of the newly-elected President of Chechnya Akhmad Kadyrov, got in a car accident and is now in a grave state after the operation, a source in Akhmad Kadyrov's entourage said.

Referring to information from doctors, the source said that Zelimkhan's life is not in jeopardy. His spleen was removed during the operation.

On Friday a VAZ-2199 car, driven by Zelimkhan, crashed with a VAZ-2104 car on the road between the Bachi-Yurt and Tsentoroi villages near Gudermes.

Another four passengers have suffered in the car crash.

Circumstances are being ascertained.
