Search for snowboarders in Caucasus continues

On Thursday, 160 rescue workers continued to search for the snowboarders lost in the mountains of Kabardino-Balkaria (a republic in the Northern Caucasus).

The press service of Russian Emergency Ministry's Southern regional center reported that nine dog teams took part in the search operation.

The Elbrus territorial search and rescue service, search and rescue units from the Krasnodar and Stavropol areas, the Southern regional search unit from Sochi and search and rescue services from North Ossetia and Karachai-Circassia are concentrated in the settlement of Terskol.

On Wednesday, the head of the Russian Emergency Ministry's Southern regional center, Ivan Teterin, participated in the inspection of the suspected location of the snowboarders. He flew over the area with rescuer workers.

Seven young people from Moscow are believed to have taken a walk in the mountains and never returned.

The search operation started on February 10 when relatives reported that the children had been lost. So far, the week long search operation has not yielded any results.

More than 5.8 million people voted for Nicholas Maduro at the presidential election in Venezuela. This is more than a quarter of registered voters. Why did those people vote for the man, who, as Western media write, took Venezuela to the brink of collapse?
