Russian frontier guards arrest one and kill three violators of Tajik-Afghani border

As a result of a combat fight Russian frontier guards on duty at the Tajik-Afghan border, arrested one and assassinated three violators of the border. No Russian servicemen were hit. This was disclosed to a RIA Novosti correspondent by the press-service of the Russian border control in Tajikistan.

On Tuesday night in the area of the Khorog unit a squad of Russian servicemen came into a combat fight with four armed smugglers. As a result, one smuggler was wounded and arrested, the rest were killed. A Kalashnikov machine-gun, Kalashnikov assault rifles with 5 cartridges, 1 PM pistol and about 10 kilograms of opium were found at the site of the incident.
