Explosion inside British embassy in Zagreb injured one

An explosion occurred Monday morning inside the British embassy in the Croatian capital Zagreb,slightly injuring one person, according to reports reaching here.

A spokeswoman for the embassy said an explosive device appeared to have detonated in the mail room at around 7:30 a.m. (0530 GMT).One person suffered minor injuries, Xinhua reports.

No one has claimed responsibility for the incident and police have been called to step up security.
