Federal Command In Chechnya Refutes Fighting In The East

The federal command in Chechnya has refuted reports about clashes between Russian units and some 200 Chechen rebels in the Nozhai-Yurt district on the Daghestani border. The situation in Chechnya is under control, major fighting is not spotted and federal forces are being rotated in accordance with pre-set plans, say the military. Combat aviation was not used in the Nozhai-Yurt district last Friday, reports the federal command.
