False alarm in Bolshoi Theatre

An anonymous call telling about a bomb in the Bolshoi Theatre was a false alarm, a spokeswoman for the Moscow interior affairs main department told RIA Novosti.

"A teenager called to report on the alleged bomb," she said.

According to her, policemen are searching for the hooligan.

The information on the alleged bomb came at 14.48 Moscow time. Theatre officials were evacuated. Cynologists were involved in the search for the bomb.

There were no spectators at the Bolshoi Theatre then.
