Al-Qaida link in Iraqi Head killing

A group headed by Al-Qaeda figure Abu Musab al-Zarqawi has claimed responsibility for the attack that killed Iraqi Governing Council head Ezzedine Salim. A statement by the Jama'at al-Tawhid and Jihad group, posted on an Islamist website, said Saudi national Abu Salama al-Hegazy carried out the attack. The leader of Iraq's US-appointed Governing Council Ezzedine Salim was killed in a suicide bombing Monday as he was waiting to enter the coalition headquarters in Baghdad.
