Police kill Chechen attacker

A Chechen resident, who resisted the police, was killed in Serzhen-Yurt, Shali district (eastern Chechnya) July 19th, reports the Russian Interior Ministry. The man, who tried to shoot a police officer, was killed when the police returned the fire. The police then confiscated a home-made gun and a rocket launcher.

10 rocket launchers, 1 machine-gun, as well as about 4,000 bullets, 38 hand-grenades and nine rocket-launcher rounds, were confiscated all over Chechnya during the last 24 hours.
