A Greek citizen tries to smuggle old icons out of Russia

A Greek citizen has tried to smuggle three old icons out of Russia, the Russian Customs Committee reported on Wednesday. According to the committee, before flying from Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport, the smuggler inadequately declared the icons.

According to preliminary estimates, their total cost amounts to about 1,000 dollars. Now the question of launching a case into this administrative offence of "the lover of Russian antiquities" is under consideration.
