Body of last of three officers lost in Far East found

The bodies of all the three officers who got lost during the tactical-special exercise of the regional Penal Directorate were found in the Jewish Autonomous Region (a region in the Far East on the border with China), the regional Penal Directorate officials said on Monday (the time difference between Moscow and Regional center Birobidzhan is 7 hours).

The last body to be found by the rescue workers was that of Major Nikolai Neumyvako. His funeral will take place in Birobidzhan today.

Three Penal Directorate officers who participated in the exercise under the conditions under which it was necessary to find and neutralize prisoners who had escaped, got lost on October 9. Presumably, the three officers of the Penal Directorate special force drowned while fording the Bira river near Semistochny settlement.
